ABOUT

Slavčo, born in 1958 in Skopje, Macedonia, is a painter, object and installation artist, and occasionally works in   performance as well.

He has been featured in exhibitions throughout former Yugoslavia where his work is part of public and private collections. In 2015, the National Gallery of Macedonia presented a major solo show of his work. Slavčo has also had exhibitions in Rome, Nuremberg, Dresden, Berlin, Washington, D.C., Boston, New York, London, Paris, Saint Petersburg, and Los Angeles. His work is part of more than two dozen private collections in London, Boston, New York, Washington D.C., and Santa Fe.

Slavčo has received numerous awards for excellence in painting as well as project grants for installation and performance projects with his wife, Nancy Adams. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, Macedonia in 1986. Slavčo lives and works in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
